ctp ds49 cu1 upgrade….you can get rid of the high pitch tone that is
a by product of the filter, or lack there-of in the descrambler…we
use a balanced modulator-demodulator (lm1496) and crude filtering which
allows a broad audio range of inversion tones…the result is a high
pitch tone or feedback that the null control reduces, but does not
totally remove…to remove most of the side-tone: add a 0.1uf
electrolutic capacitor between pin 2 of ic-2 (lm386 audio chip) and
ground…this is a polarized cap so make sure you observe its
polarity…remeber the indetation on the ic is the index and to the
left is pin 1, then count down…matt
